NYSAFC is pleased to offer a Fire Commissioner Training opportunity at FIRE 2023 to assist fire district administrators, including fire commissioners, fire district secretaries, treasurers, and fire chiefs!

Wednesday, June 14 – 8:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.

Registration Fee: $135 – Includes breakfast, lunch & three One Day Tickets for the FIRE 2023 Expo (valid June 15-17)
This course provides basic fire commissioner training by examining the authority and responsibilities of fire district commissioners. Class participation with group discussion will be emphasized and illustration of fire district problems engages all participants and makes the material practical and meaningful. The course is presented by two of the leading fire service attorneys in New York state with extensive experience representing fire districts and training fire district commissioners. The course meets and exceeds the requirements of Town Law 176-e, is approved by the NYS Comptroller, and satisfies fire commissioner training requirements for those required to complete training within 270 days of election or appointment. Designed for fire commissioners, fire district secretaries, treasurers, and fire chiefs are also encouraged to attend.

CANCELLATION POLICY
Fire Commissioner Training registration cancellations (and Conference Full Term Registration cancellations, if purchased) must be submitted in writing to NYSAFC. A service fee of 25% will be applied. Badges/tickets, if issued to the registrant(s), must be returned with the letter of cancellation to receive a refund. The deadline for requesting refunds is July 10, 2023. Individual hotel cancellation policies apply. NYSAFC does not assume the responsibility for canceling hotel reservations if the association is notified of cancellation of your Fire Commissioner Training and/or conference registration.
